  12. Two friends have called me to tell me that they heard on National
  13. Public Radio that a Baikal Teal has been seen somewhere in Colorado,
  14. and that some 400 birders have already seen it.

  16. And my father told me that a Dusky Thrush (Turdus naumanni) was
  17. being seen somewhere near Vancouver (he knew; I've forgotten).
  18. As of 1983, there had been no sightings of T. naumanni in
  19. North America south of Alaska.
