- I bought one of these inexpensive chain cleaners, the automatic type that you
- connect to your chain. The way it works, is that you turn the crank counter-
- clockwise and hold the chain-cleaner housing in place with the small amount of
- solution, (Chain Brite) is what I use. The brushes get inbetween the links
- and scrubs away dirt and grit. I make 10 revolutions, disassemble the unit,
- wipe the chain with a cloth, reassemble and make 10 more revolutions counter
- clockwise. I then disassemble and do a final wipe down on the chain with the
- cloth. Total time is about 10 to 15 min. I like to clean my chain at least
- every two weeks. Note: The (Chain Brite Solution) also acts as a lube and
- only a small amount is needed.
