  29. In addition, these patterns are apparently patented!?  The guy I talked
  30. to at Phil Wood suggested that they were worried that Shimano's lawyers
  31. would come after them if they used the same pattern on their casette hubs.
  32. They came up with a different, but compatible, pattern instead for the
  33. part that will mate with Shimano cassettes.  (Parts will be available to
  34. make the hubs work with Shimano, Campy, Suntour or Mavic cassettes.)

  37. and it keeps seeming relevant.
