- From my experience, riding in the winter is a dirty business. It's not
- unusual to come home covered in road dirt that has been splattered up
- from the pavement. Light colored clothing soon becomes stained with
- this dirt, and dark clothing is easier to keep clean. Perhaps this is
- the reason.
