- Actually, you can. The only difference on the hyperglide cogs is that one
- spline is larger than the others and the lockring is different. A few
- modifications fixes these problems easily.
- 1. File/dremel down the one widest spline on your cogs. You can just
- trim one side but I forget which; it is easy to tell by looking.

- 2. Use a standard end/smallest cog that threads on instead of the slide on
- hyperglide.

- I did this for my cross bike that had an older set of 105 hubs. It works
- very well and I have had no problems.
