- I plan to install Phil Wood bottom brackets on my new C-Dale road
- tandem frame. Phil suggests using their steel lockrings and
- using Loctite (blue) when installing these into the aluminum bottom
- brackets. My concern is for the safety of the aluminum threads in
- the rear bottom bracket which are essentially the same as those on
- most C-Dale bicycles. Yes, I know blue Locktite is "removable with
- hand tools", but that statement does little to aleviate my concern.
- [Of course I really should not be concerned at all because a Phil
- BB will last forever. :-) ]

- 1. Has anyone had occasion to remove one of these?
- Did you have any problems?
- Do you have any hints on technique?
-
- 2. A previous poster on a similar topic mentioned "purple"
- Loctite and seemed to suggest that it had a weaker strength.
- I cannot find any information on this (another brand?)
- Does this exist and could it be useful?
-
- 3. Any installation hints that you would care to share?
-
- Thanks, -Larry (dunning@andy.bgsu.edu)
