- I asked about that when I recently bought a better bike. Bike shop said WD-40
- was fine, though a specialist lubricant would last longer. Using a "real" chain
- cleaner also seems to do a better job, but for ease of use my old policy of
- "keep squirting it till it runs off clean, then squirt some more" has advantages,
- especially in bad weather, and the WD-40 is cheap (5 litle bottle and a hand squirt,
- not aerosols).
- If there is a reason to avoid it, I'd like to know too.
