- just this problem for about 3 weeks now. SunTour is just adding
- another cog at the appropriate spacing, albeit nearly 3mm.

- I think Jobst meant to say, "derailleurs and shift levers". The
- derailleur simply follows the mechanics of the shifter. Some
- derailleurs follow orders better than others. I am using a Shimano
- HG cassette with SunTour XC Pro shifters and rear derailleur
- with no problems.

- Precisely why the above works. Don't always believe what you are
- told. If Shimano really wants to make things incompatible, they'll
- have to change the chain pitch. There's just so much room back
- between the dropout and wheel to get 7 or 8 cogs.
