- On the subject of chains getting tangled in amongst the BB axle, I had this
- happen on my SunTour equipped Trek 850 (my first bike!!). Mind you, I was
- riding in hub-deep snow at the time, but it was a hell of a job to get out,
- and made a real mess of the inner ring.

- On my current bike, I have a Mavic inner ring, which basically is a solid
- disc with just a hole in the middle just larger than the BB shell. I don't
- know if they do this to prevent the chain going in there, but it would
- appear to work.
