My brother has an Avocet c40 and had problems mounting it onto the dropouts of his Manitou forks. One of the bike shops suggested using clear silicone to bond the sensor onto the dropout. The person at the hardware store sold us some clear urathane(I think the spelling is incorrect) it took about 24 hours for the urathane to set(dry). It is now securely mounted onto the dropout, and we still used the zip-tie as a backup in the event that the urathane bond fails(makes sure that the sensor doesn't fall in
