- This is along the lines of the "hit and run" thread. Just wanted
- to add that in my three years of cycling in Germany, France, and
- Portugal I noted that Europeans regard bikes as vehicles, not
- toys. They look for bikes like they look for street signs. I lived
- and bike commuted in Berlin, and NEVER had any problem, even downtown,
- with motorists. As for the claims that bicyclists are too slow
- for roads because of the speed differential, what about the 100
- kilometer-per-hour speed differential between vehicles on the
- Autobahns? Face it, U.S. citizens are lazy-ass drivers who confuse
- their cars with their penises.
