  12. This is along the lines of the "hit and run" thread.  Just wanted
  13. to add that in my three years of cycling in Germany, France, and
  14. Portugal I noted that Europeans regard bikes as vehicles, not
  15. toys.  They look for bikes like they look for street signs.  I lived
  16. and bike commuted in Berlin, and NEVER had any problem, even downtown,
  17. with motorists.  As for the claims that bicyclists are too slow
  18. for roads because of the speed differential, what about the 100
  19. kilometer-per-hour speed differential between vehicles on the
  20. Autobahns?  Face it, U.S. citizens are lazy-ass drivers who confuse
  21. their cars with their penises.
