  13. I apologize in advance if this has been covered before -- I just started
  14. reading this newsgroup.

  16. I'm interested in a "medium weight" hiking boot heavy enough for several-
  17. day backpacks, off-trail, and pleasant fourth class scrambles, but
  18. not "heavy duty" mountaineering boots like Asolos, Merrills, etc. I suspect
  19. this type of boot can be identified by its price range: $150 - $225 US$.

  21. I was told that there was a review of such boots in an outdoor magazine
  22. "not too long ago" -- which I take to be sometime in '92. Does anybody
  23. know anything about this?
