- This may not be the appropriate place for this question, but I don't know
- where else to ask it.
- A while back, in the New York Times, I read a truly fascinating article
- about a mesa north of Mexico City that was basically hollow and with an
- extensive cave network. The article was about a former grad student, now
- professor from an East Coast school who had spent more than ten years
- exploring this "cave" and who had now formed an expedition to go below the
- underground river deep inside where he was certain the cave continued.
- The project was partially funded by NASA and DoD because they were going
- to use scuba-like suits that could reclaim some of the air.
- Reading this article made my pulse climb and blood pressure rise
- because this is a truly exciting thing! What a wonderful thing on a
- planet that has so few unexplored places left.
- My question is: Has anyone heard anything else about this
- expedition, was it successful? Or, anything else?
-
- If you know, please send me e-mail (at least) to
- n9248086@henson.cc.wwu.edu
-
- Thanks!
