  26. On the other hand, Coleman hasn't been advertising the Apex as a multi-fuel 
  27. stove, though it is...

  29. Other stoves generally do need different generators.  I suppose it depends on 
  30. the relative volatility, viscosity, and all around gunki-ness of the fuel 
  31. familiy.   Note that a kerosene generator may also work for such delightful 
  32. fuels as automotive diesel and home heating oil, though Coleman may not 
  33. say so the way MSR does.

  35. Why kerosene?  It's far more available in the third world than white 
  36. gasoline (naptha), and its lower volatility means a lower risk of your face 
  37. getting burned off or your gear burned up.  It used to be a lot cheaper than
  38. white gasoline.  The lower volatility also means spills won't evaporate and 
  39. you have to do a better job priming.  Most people loath the smell, but
  40. for me it brings back childhood memories of Grandma's farm....
