- Well, you're going to be in for a shock on September 16 of this year!

- On that date, the new airspace system goes into effect, and (among
- many changes) ATAs cease to exist. They are replaced by Type D
- airspace, which corresponds to today's Control Zones. The
- communication requirement you cite for ATAs above changes to refer to
- Type D airspace around an airport with an operating control tower.
