- I have one of the 'newer' gas heaters.. and they are extremely
- expensive to have repaired.. mine needed some kind of bi-metalic
- strip to get it to work right, and I was told that it would be
- about $300 to repair it! So it is now sitting on a shelf in my garage.
- I can think of another option, but it may be a lot of work. I have seen
- (in one of the Magazines) a kit that uses the hot oil from the engine
- to heat the interior. It looked like an oil-cooler that you might have
- mounted under the car, but it was in the vehicle behind the back seat,
- with an elctric fan on it. This seems like a lot of work with drilling
- holes in the fire-wall and all... but it seems like it might do the
- trick (sure would keep that back window frost-free!)
