- A friend of mine has that book and I was dissapointed to see my car,
- a 1969 Squareback, listed right up there with the Pinto. As I read
- the rest of the book, I determined that the writer didn't know very
- much about many of the cars he was writing about. I may be being
- picky, but he had the introduction date for the Type III wrong, and, er
- many other misfacts from other cars, but unfortunately I don't remember
- what they were. From my three years and 20,000 miles with my squareback,
- the only problems I've had that might be Type III specific are the
- engine running a little hot (cronic overheating was common to most
- Squarebacks) and that infamous fuel injection. Actually, the fuel
- injection was ripped out by the previous owner at 60,000 miles
- and replaced with a carberretor. The fuel injection problems were not
- mentioned in the book.
