  102. Ahh.. not so! I have a 1971 Super as I said.. '70, '71, and '72 Supers had
  103. flat windsheilds... all the good looks of a standard bug but with slightly
  104. better handling up front... and some had disk brakes I do believe...
  105. the '72 had a bigger rear-window and 4 sets of slots on the rear deck
  106. and not 2, as in the '70 and '71 models. And from the spec sheets, the 
  107. '71 Super had the most stock Horse Power of any 1600 air-cooled VW engine
  108. made.. a whopping 65 HP! It went down to (I think) 50 or so the next year
  109. (but I don't know why.. emmisions perhaps?)
