- I think you missed the just of the discussion. In our little example, the
- water temp guage acts funny only when the above mentioned problem was occuring.
- For example, when I got to the bottom of my exit ramp that I drive every day,
- the water temp would remain pretty constant. However, when I was experiencing
- the transfer pump problem, (buzzing, bucking car) the water temp guage would
- fritz out.

- Nope. If the car is stopped with the engine running, the pump is still
- pumping. The only thing you lose is air flow over the radiator. And
- to take care of this, your car is eqipped with an electric fan. Those
- crazy Germans! ;-)

- If the car is turned off, the temp guage WILL read higher if it is
- turned back on shortly, but the electric fan should run even when
- the car is off to assist in cooling the motor.
