- I have a feeling the 87 GTI you are buying is FUBAR....or at least
- needs a tune up, etc. real bad. The car should be able to move away
- from a standing start at normal revs...ie off idle...1,800 rpms.
- There is definately something wrong with the car if it can't come
- off the line unless you are doing 3 to 4k. Hell, I launch my
- autox GTI off the line in competition at 3300 rpm..but that
- causes a bit of wheel spin and hell on the clutch...thats
- racin...but for the street forget it!
