  10. Before I get started I want to thank everyone who responded to
  11. my "Those annoying lights" post -- many helpful suggestions
  12. were sent and I appreciate them all.
  13.  
  14. Now on with the post.  I had heard that VW would offer a 75-hp
  15. turbodiesel as part of the new generation Jetta awaiting
  16. importation, but other conflicting reports said the diesel was
  17. being consigned to history.  a dealer I talked to BS'ed his way
  18. out of the question, so I wonder if anyone here has any info?
  19.  
  20. Also, how do earlier Jetta/Quantum turbodiesels (esp. '84-86) fare?
  21. Given all the pluses (bulletproof engine, gas mileage) and minuses
  22. (power? what power?) unique to diesels,
  23. do the turbos fare any better or worse in durability or
  24. reliability?
