- I get the same symtom. Though when I start my car ('82 GTi)
- the alternator light stays on until you rev the engine. If you then let off
- the throttle and let the car idle, it seems to idle slightly lower RPM
- than when the light was on. The light never comes on again and I'm sure
- it's not a loose alternator belt because there's no screaming sound and even
- when wet the belt doesn't slip. Voltage regulator sounds more likely...
