- They don't use the number 13 in racing for the same reason they don't have
- a thirteenth floor in any buildings- the fear of the number thirteen. As for
- 18- well, if you have two-car teams, and skip 13, then you have to skip
- another number sometime to even things out. Benetton always used 19, so I
- guess they preferred it to 18. Alas, they have abandoned their traditional
- 19 and 20, opting instead for 5 and 6. I am somewhat disappointed to see
- this, but changes abound year to year.
