- Depends. If you're using the Mercury front end and rear with
- Mercury brakes, you can try to get a set of 15-inch wheels
- introduced in mid-1948 for Ford and Mercury. This is when
- Fomoco changed from 16-inch to 15-inch wheels. These wheels
- should take the stock Mercury hubcaps. 1949 and 1950
- Mercury wheels will also fit but use a different cap. Ford
- F-100 pickup wheels through approx 1956 may also fit.
- These will all be hard to find. Some of the aftermarket
- wheel companies make what you need and call them "steelies".
- Check the ads in any street rod magazine.
