- Hello, folks.
-
- I'm looking for net.wisdom regarding a phono cartridge.
-
- My preferences:
- -neutral/warm balance
- -good tracking
- -compliance compatable with Well Tempered Arm
- -output not important (low output MC OK)
- -considered Sigma Genesis 2000, Grado Sig TLZ
- -used with Sonogy Concerto / RIAA
- (can load for anything 1 ohm => 100k, 20 dB => 80 dB)
-
- I'm looking for serious comments only, from those who have
- made tough comparisons. My past experiences have been:
-
- Talisman S => I hate this bright, screechy dog
- Blue POint => ditto
- Supex 1000/2000 => Nice, but poor tracking
- Grado Sig 8M => nice, but no cigar
- Shure V15V MR => better than i expected, great bass, lousy detail
- Sony ??44 => demo in arm today, shows promise (at $60 !!)
-
- Thanks, folks!
