- I have a question for the sub box building experts. Will the
- response of a ported box remain unchanged if the dimensions are
- changed?
-
- To be more specific, i have a ported box which has an volume of
- 2.5 cubic ft. It is made of 3/4" MDF, and has a 4"x6.9" port.
- The driver is a single 12". This box (to me) sounds great, hence
- i want the retain the same sound characteristics.
-
- I need to build a box which better conforms to my trunk, thereby
- using the space that i have better. If i build another box using
- the same driver, same port size, same building materials and give the
- box the same volume, but change the dimensions...
-
- Will it sound the same???
-
- I'd appreciate any help, thanks,
-
-
