- The amount of improvement that you notice will be influenced by
- the rest of your system, so it's hard to say for sure.

- I had the first Sony portable, an MD-1. (?) It served me
- faithfully for many years, and then I bought a Denon DCD-560 as its
- replacement. The difference, even through the very modest sytem that I
- owned at the time, was easily heard. All of the very early CD players
- will sound harsh and shrill in comparison to the latest models.
