- As I was wandering the Antique Trove, a large local collective, I
- was struck by how little correlation of similar types, makes and
- marks of antiques there were between each vendor.
-
- This is one of those places where each vendor has a marked-off space,
- filled with his/her wares. Many of them had an eclectic selection,
- and I was thinking, "Geez, wouldn't it make more sense to put, say,
- all the Haviland china in one area, all the antique linens in another,
- all the costume jewelry in a third... It sure would make it easier
- to find a specific item."
-
- On a larger scale, is there any sort of BBS where antique dealers
- list their inventory? In short, is there a better way to find a
- specific piece than driving from store to store, searching through
- nooks and crannies?
