  22. the same thing would accomplished, and manage to cause many more "good"
  23. things to happen, if different ethnic cultures were _not_ focused upon. rather,
  24. american culture should be taught. that, far more generalized, background
  25. would not point out the differences between races, but rather how all races
  26. have contributed a single culture within this country... and that would in
  27. the end make the subjects of such education feel much more equal - they'd
  28. be americans, not jewish-americans, not african-americans, not whatever.
