- Hi,
-
- Where are you looking? Compucentre? Businessland?
-
- First of all, there are two versions of the 1542B, the bare board, with just a
- card and a piece of paper with jumper settings, and the "deluxe" kit with a
- box, manuals, disks, drivers, and everything. Most people just need the bare
- card, and it's a lot cheaper than the whole kit. The bare card is usually
- around $100 less than the whole kit. If you have a favorite dealer, tell
- him/her about the situation (he/she should know about it though!) and see if
- they can get the bare card. If not, email me back and I can mail you the names
- of some dealers with reasonable prices.
