  13. As from today the /archive subtree of the VUW Comp Sci Archive is stored in
  14. "gzip" format rather than "compress" format.  Files in other parts of the
  15. archive may either be in compressed form (with a .Z extension) or gzip form
  16. (with a .z extension).

  18. If you do not have gzip it is available from the archive as:
  19.     /pub/gzip.tar
  20. or
  21.     /pub/packages/gnu/gzip-0.8.2.tar
