- SPRING LINE-UP for the CABARET THEATRE, NEW BRUNSWICK
- -----------------------------------------------------
-
- YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU
- In 1937, Kaufman & Hart brought us the story of the eccentric
- Sycamore family and its ragtag group of hangers-on. Over half a
- century later, this classic comedy is just as timely and humorous as
- it was on opening night.
-
- February 4th-7th, 11th-14th.
-
- Thursdays & Saturdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm & 11pm. Sundays at 2pm.
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- CLOSER THAN EVER
- As this year's muscial offering, the Cabaret is proud to
- present Richard Maltby Jr. (of Miss Saigon) and David Shire's look at
- relationships and the changes we all go through as we get older and
- hopefully wiser. Be assured, there is something for everyone in this
- muscial journey through life.
-
- February 25th-27th, March 4th-6th.
-
- Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm & 11pm.
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- ROSENCRANTZ AND GILDENSTERN ARE DEAD
- Tom Stoppard looks at the Melancholy Dane as no one else quite
- can. This odd and confusing yet powerful and funny show stretches
- your imagination as the tale of Hamlet is toyed with and adjusted by
- its author and cast.
-
- March 25th-27th & April 1st-3rd.
-
- Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm & 11pm.
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- THE SOCIETY OF MASK
- The Cabaret Theatre's resident improv troop makes its third
- annual appearance for two nights only. Watch and take part as our
- band of performers play games and act out skits created by the
- audience. Never the same show twice, the troop always encourages
- laughter and excitement.
-
- April 16th & 17th.
-
- Friday & Saturday at 8pm.
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- THE "BETTER LATE THAN NEVER" COFFEEHOUSE
- We couldn't let a semester go by without one, so here it is,
- the Cabaret's famous brand of Coffeehouse. Everyone from theater to
- engineering majors will be on hand to delight and astound you with
- their many and varied talents. You never know who will be on the bill
- until you arrive.
-
- (sort of like a talent show, but with more talent and no actual coffee)
-
- April 23rd, Friday, at 8pm.
-
- (no reservations for this one)
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Reservations, unless otherwise noted, can be made up to two weeks
- before the performance by calling 745-9847. If you have any questions
- or comments, feel free to bug me, kjc@cs.rutgers.edu.
-
- The Cabaret Theatre is located at the corner of Suydam St. and Nichol
- Avenue, on the Douglass Campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
- Send mail if you need directions.
-
- Thanks for listening ...
