  14. EDGE (Expanded Dimensions in Gifted Education), a non-profit
  15. organization based in Westfield, NJ, is running a five week
  16. series of enrichment classes for highly able children from age 5 through
  17. 6th grade this winter/spring.  EDGE has been running such classes
  18. since 1978.

  20. The classes are on the campus of Kean College, Union NJ (exit 140
  21. on the Parkway).

  23. DATES:        Saturdays from 9:30am-12:30pm (snack and break included)

  30. LOCATION:    Hutchinson Hall, Kean College Campus,
  31.         Union NJ (Parkway exit 140, near Rt 22)

  33. CLASSES:    Classes are available in physics (LEGO machines),
  34.         environmental engineering, geology, math,
  35.         language arts (storytelling and other skills),
  36.         and botany.  There are two or more classes available
  37.         for each grade from 1st through 6th on each day,
  38.         and several classes for pre-Kindergarten and K
  39.         children.

  41.         Each class is a separate, one-day enrichment module,
  42.         so your child may take one or more.
  43.  
  44. TUITION:    $24 per day, discounts for larger numbers of modules
  45.         taken by family members.

  47. FOR PARENTS:    On February 27, Dr Jean Balinky, Visiting Professor
  48.         of School Psychology and director of an enrichment
  49.         program for pre-school gifted children, will lead
  50.         a discussion on issues for parents of highly able
  51.         children.  (same location, 9:45-11:15, $5 admission)
