- Nah - remember that most "historical" game eras allow, and indeed,
- encourage, "fantasy" situations (ie those which would never have
- happened). EG New Kingdom Egyptians fighting Romans, Spanish Tercios
- against Muscovites, 1805 French against Wellington's Peninsular
- veterans with Portuguese, 1943 Germans vs 1945 Soviets.
-
- All are pure fantasy, yet well within the realms of current
- "historical" gaming. Also - how about campaigns using "historical"
- armies based in fictitious continents, or fictitious armies based on
- historical ones? All are regularly played by "historical" gamers,
- both here and anywhere else I've seen "historical" gaming.

- And there are many who are happy to just push models around the table
- whatever they represent. Hell - I'll even push Burgundian Ordonance
- against Summer/Akkadian given half a chance - only 4500 years
- difference :-).
-
- I'm also quite happy to see discussion on figure painting, pricing,
- quality etc, as these are all part of figure gaming.
