  22. For this newsgroup, you don't need to specify a distribution.  The
  23. whole world isn't receiving this newsgroup -- only sites in "ne"
  24. (whatever that covers) get it.

  26. To answer your general question about distribution abbreviations,
  27. I'll quote from The Whole Internet Catalog & User's Guide (by Ed
  28. Krol):

  31. available for a server.  There are a set of standard distributions
  32. what are available on most servers, but they describe only wide
  33. areas.  They are:

  36.   att         Limited to AT&T

  38.   eunet       Limited to European sites
  39.   na          Limited to North America
  40.   usa         Limited to the United States
