- First, let me state that I have eaten many meals at New Asia, more often at
- the Lexington site than Somerville. The menus and food seem identical at both.
- The take-out menu has many more items than does the regular menu; I don't know
- why. In any case, I find the HSS wholly acceptable.
-
- New Asia's food is good and inexpensive. I usually have some kind of bean curd
- and vegetable dish and a seafood or chicken dish there. One item I had as a
- take out that's not on the regular menu is Yu-Hsiang Fish (they do have other
- Yu-Hsiang's on the reg. menu). I liked it very much, and I may try to order it
- some time when I'm there.
-
- My one complaint with New Asia is that their spicy dishes are generally quite
- mild, even somewhat sweetish. I was pleasantly surprised the other evening
- when a chicken and vegetable dish (don't remember exactly what it was called)
- turned out to be spicy enough for me -- that means moderately spicy.
-
- New Asia also has a good lunch menu, with still lower prices and, of course,
- smaller portions.
