- The same is true of other chains. The first New England WalMart just opened,
- you won't find a Safeway around, and 7-11s are few and far between. It's too
- bad that all the malls have turned into clones though. I was amused to find a
- "Carroll Reed of New England" clothing shop in a maga mall in Dallas when I was
- there on a business trip in '89.
