- Last August I bought a duplex, made several repairs, moved into
- one side of it, and rented the other. I have the following tax
- questions:
-
- 1. Are the repairs fully deductable, even though I'm living in half
- the duplex?
-
- 2. Where do I report the rental income (loss) on 1040?
-
- 3. Are my mortgage payments and property tax payments better used
- as expenses to offset rental income or as personal interest and
- property taxes?
