- Well, there is FEBER, which many, many, many people swear by. So far, at 16
- months, we have not had to go through this. Laura has always been pretty good
- about going to bed and sleeping though the night.
-
- Whe Laura was about 1 year, we did start to have problems. Laura would
- wake about midnight (bedtime: 7:30) and start crying. Sometimes she would
- also wake about 4 AM. It didn't seem to be "separation anxiety", since she
- slept alone for naps without problems. She definitly seemd upset at
- something, though.
-
- The solution was simply getting her a night light! As soon as we installed the
- light, she stopped disurbing us in the middle of the night. We *know* she
- sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night, but usually doesn't cry for
- us. Sometimes we hear her wake up and *briefly cry -- but it seems to be
- more of "OH I LOST MY LOVELY! WHERE'S MY LOVEY! - Oh, there it is. Never mind"
- This is speculation only: we here the thrashing around and brief cry, but
- if she quiets right away, we're not willing to stick our noses in!

- You can put the children to bed, but you can't make them sleep!
