- I don't entirely agree with you. I find that my daughter (at age almost
- 6) still does not pay much attention to the scenery (in the adult sense).
- She like to play and is happy if she has a beach or brook or woods in which
- she can play with things (rocks, sticks, sand, etc.). So I don't think
- change is so important as selecting an environment where the child can be
- given some freedom to roam and explore. It is really bad here is California
- were so much of the woods are full of poison oak!!

- Once she was old enough to really play with other children (by 2 for her),
- it really helped to have a vacation WITH other families with similar aged
- kids. That way the children can play together and the parents can relax
- and talk/read/etc.
