- Yes, any school that accepts the ACT instead, or one of the
- few schools that have decided to stop requiring the SAT, such
- as Bowdoin, Bates, Franklin & Marshal College in Lancaster
- (some say they've "deemphasized" the SAT). Still some of these
- require the SAT for placement purposes after admission. I think
- there are about 100 others. But it seems to me that only a
- minority of the competitive colleges will try doing without
- the SAT (apparently, they're catering to those with a real
- aversion to the SAT and getting some extra applicants that way).
