- Back in our Kinder-Care era, my son was bitten by another child hard
- enough to draw blood! It's common "I know I read it somewhere but I forgot
- the source" knowledge that a human bite can be very, very dangerous
- because it's so germy. (My-brother-the-vet claims that his family doctor
- was less concerned with a dog-bite than was with a daughter-bite.)
-
- Anyway, when my son's hand got infected and had to be treated, I told the
- school that I insist they separate my child from the flesh-eater. It's
- the school's responsibility to control the children's behavior when they
- are there, and children who hurt other children should not be put back
- in with them until the behavior has been dealt with. If the child's
- parents will not cooperate, that shouldn't be YOUR problem. It's between
- the center and the kid's parents.
-
- Good luck. I know how frustrating that can be. A few months after this
- episode, MY child decided to start chomping on kids!
