- When I was 10 we moved about 2000 miles. My parents drove - I flew. I
- actually enjoyed it. I got the best service of anyone on the plane. The
- stewardesses were fantastic; I was never alone on the ground until I met my
- grandmother and a very hung-over cat at the baggage claim.
- I will encourage my kids to travel alone like this if it makes sense at the
- time.
