- How about Lake Tahoe in the summer. The water is warmer on the North side of
- the lake. Our son Keith enjoyed playing near the water in the sand. Also,
- short day hikes are good. Get a good backpack to carrier your son. Our son
- enjoyed riding in the backpack and walking some.
-
- Yosemite would be another nice area. You could get a tent cabin. But get
- used to your son being dirty and enjoying himself. My son enjoys the campfires.
-
- It is surprising how quickly they grow up. My son is 3 yrs old now. Other
- activities he enjoyed (and still enjoys) are the zoo (especially a kids petting
- zoo), Discovery Zone (lots of tunnels/balls, an indoor play area), Children's
- Discovery Museum (San Jose), Monterey Bay Aquarium, Marine World. In general
- places where he could "run around" and see/touch many things.
-
- Enjoy your vacation. Try not to do too much. Have a lot of time just walking/
- exploring the beach, streams, animals, etc.
