- The sad thing about this is that none of us can be totally sure what is
- exactly the right thing for our kids, and we don't get the opportunity to
- "do it over again". We have to go on our best guess, factoring in all the
- parameters like what's good for the child, what's good for Mommy's mental
- health, what's good for the family's financial well-being. It's good to
- be observant of our children's characters, and have the courage of our
- convictions if we have to make hard decisions, but I think all parents
- ought to give themselves a bit of slack. We're not omniscient.
