- Dear Prospective Employer:
-
- I have graduated with a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the
- University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma in December 1992. I also have a
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
-
- I want to pursue a career in the area of Systems and/or Application software
- design. My graduate level projects reflect my strong programming skills.
- The projects include a database management system using ORACLE, an image
- enhancement system in X windows environment using C, a multiprogramming
- operating system in C and some other projects. As a part of my thesis
- I have developed and implemented algorithms for domination problems on special
- graphs in C using Xlib and Xt.
-
- Also, during the research work for my master's thesis I developed shell scripts
- in AIX for batch processing on remote machine, which involved the use of
- TCP/IP commands such as rcp, rpc, rsh, ftp, rlogin, telnet, finger. I am
- also familiar with Kermit protocols. As a computer systems technician, I was
- responsible for software and hardware maintenance of the computer systems
- in UNIX and MS-DOS environment.
-
- My experience as a teaching assistant has sharpen my communication skills.
- Working as a research assistant, I have developed skills to work independently.
- My research experience along with electrical engineering background has
- equipped me with strong analytical skills and ability to understand the
- problems thoroughly. I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic person.
- I have an excellent academic record of 4.0 GPA and 3 research publications.
- I have been awarded outstanding research award by the University of Oklahoma.
-
- With this background, I feel I am ready to take the challenging opportunity
- in your organization. Please note that I am ready to relocate anywhere.
- My resume is enclosed herewith. For further information, please call
- me at (817)-381-0007 (e-mail dipti@vela.ecn.uoknor.edu)
