  9. CONTRACT POSITION AVAILABLE
  10. Position:  Systems Analyst as well as some programming in a Governmental
  11.            Department.
  12. Location:  Downtown Toronto, Ontario.
  13. Remuneration : $68,000 to $84,000 per annum to start depending on actual 
  14.                working experience.
  15. Duration: One year with probable renewal.

  17. Position Outline: This is an opportunity to develope new applications for
  18.                   a government department, including a linked taxation 
  19.                   system that is co-ordinated with another governmental 
  20.                   department.

  22. Base Qualifications: The successful candidate must have well honed project
  23.                      leader skills along with a solid technical backgroud 
  24.                      in development of commercial systems. The candidate
  25.                      should be well versed in innovative design and analysis
  26.                      techniques in DB2 and COBOL applications development.
  27.                      This opportunity requires a solid knowledge of batch 
  28.                      programs, on-line query, and IMS DB/DC design and 
  29.                      analysis. A good working knowledge of TELON is an a
  30.                      requirement. Prospective candidates should have at 
  31.                      least four or five FULL years of commercial applications
  32.                      development in their background. Candidates must work in 
  33.                      well in team environments.

  35. Other Qualifications: The successful candidate must be motivated, and 
  36.                       consistant in focusing on the task at hand. He/She 
  37.                       should be able to quickly identify and resolve 
  38.                       potential problems before they occur. The candidate
  39.                       should possess very good planning skills as well as 
  40.                       good oral and written communications skills.
