  25. Don't feel so bad for Akers... He was more the problem than the scapegoat. 
  26. As manager, they screwed up so many of their new product lines that it was 
  27. pitiful.... Here's a small list...

  29.     - ROLM
  30.     - PS/2 and OS/2 never dominated the market like the original PC. 
  31.     - Software on the mainframes never competed with that on the PCs
  32.       eventhough the price was 50X more.

  34. Akers could have prevented the situation... However, he had no technological 
  35. dream about the company and so there were no products delivered.

  37. This is a simple story about people who would not face reality about their
  38. set of products.   Akers probably stepped on many people in order to get 
  39. to his position.  He made a lot of money at his job....

  41. Feel sorry for the people who worked for him and were laid off because 
  42. of his decisions.
