- Sun went up 2-7/8 ( ~ 7%) Thursday and Friday, on moderate
- and heavy volumes, respectively. Earnings are to be
- reported after the close on Wednesday (according to the
- QUOTEWEEKLY post, which I also appreciated).
-
- In general, does one dare make any assumptions about what's
- likely to be reported (earnings wise) based on movement just
- prior to the official release of this data? Not that I would
- suggest insider trading *ever* occurs, but I want to believe
- that stock goes up prior to quarterly reports for a reason, and
- that reason is that the report is going to be good (or at least OK).
-
- Conversely, if one finds stock inching downward just before an earnings
- report is to be released, should one take it as a sign that the big boys
- know that the news is going to be less palatable?
