- Besides the effects on blood cholesterol, garlic has been shown to
- have an antibacterial and antiviral effect (my source is Dr. Andrew
- Weil's "Natural Health, Natural Medicine"). It's best to use the "real
- thing" instead of the pills. Try taking two cloves once a day the next
- time you start coming down with a cold and see if it does any good.
